Our annual boiler servicing, carried out by highly experienced Gas Safe Registered engineers, offers a range of benefits, making it a worthwhile investment.
Maintaining your boiler helps keep it running safely and efficiently, while reducing the risk of unexpected breakdowns and costly repairs.
Our engineers, competent to service any type, make or model of gas boiler, take a meticulous approach to a boiler service, following established procedures to ensure every service is carried out thoroughly and without shortcuts.
A typical boiler service usually lasts between 30 and 60 minutes, depending on factors such as the boiler’s age, condition, and how easy it is to access. If any faults are discovered or extra work is needed, the appointment may take longer.
After the service we provide certification to meet warranty commitments and general maintenance records.
We recommend that boilers benefit from a deep clean every five years. This “deep dive” into boiler maintenance costs more than a normal service but includes heat exchanger and burner cleaning, replacement safety gaskets and electrodes if required.

For private homeowners, there is no legal requirement to have your boiler serviced annually, though most manufacturer warranties depend on it. The situation is different for employers and commercial landlords: under the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998, they are legally obliged to keep gas appliances properly maintained, with annual servicing strongly recommended and frequently required by commercial insurers.
When budgets are stretched and life gets busy, it’s easy to put off a boiler service especially when everything seems to be running fine. But appearances can be deceptive.
Boilers deteriorate gradually and often without obvious signs, with minor faults quietly compounding until they become serious. Skipping a service leaves you exposed to potentially dangerous consequences, including carbon monoxide leaks, voided manufacturer warranties, and hefty emergency repair bills.
Efficiency suffers too. Without regular attention, dirt, limescale, and corrosion build up inside the system, forcing your boiler to work harder than it should. The result is inflated energy bills, unnecessary wear, and a shortened lifespan for your heating system.
We often see the costly consequences of neglecting to maintain a boiler, so if your boiler service is due don’t delay – book it in right away.
